Dollar bin diving: Star Wars Sentinel by Kenner

2016-03-28 21.56.00 - CopySo lets try something a little different. I’m a big lover of dollar bins in comic shops or flea markets, I will dig to the bottom of any I come across for a cool figure on the cheap.2016-03-28 21.56.00 2016-03-28 21.56.11 2016-03-28 21.56.22 2016-03-28 21.56.32

On a recent scrounge I pulled out this figure, I really like him, don’t need to know anything about him. He’s going to make for an interesting imposing background character. I’ll be keeping an eye out for more of these guys as I don’t think any set up of mine couldn’t be improved by a bunch of this brick.2016-03-25 16.24.35 2016-03-25 16.25.01

I really should be taking advantage of all the spots I have around here but I never do.I don’t
usually go out on toy hunts anymore. If i’m at a local department store doing some grocery shopping,I may stroll down the toy aisle, but other than that ,I hit up ebay.I once did the dollar bin thing and came away with some decent figures though.

I love a good rummage for figures, it’s pretty easy to find something worth 2-3 dollars in these types of bins, but it can be an effort to go to these places.

This figure wasn’t the easiest to come by stateside upon its initial release. Some people had luck later down the line when Kay Bee toys got all that POTF2 stuff cheap for their dump bins. I, personally, was never able to get this figure or the others from it’s “Expanded Universe” wave; which was particularly odd because I was a bit of a completionist up until Power of the Jedi or Episode 1, whichever came first, I forget.

I quite like this guy, there were quite a few to be had in some of the bins at the Columbus show. This one was the cheapest I found, but I’d like a few more for a weird ominous guard type.
